Your support of this project will help equip Zambian Christians and outreach teams with effective tools for evangelism, discipleship and church planting, so that many Zambians hear and understand the good news about Jesus, and grow in their faith in him.

Most of the world’s unreached people groups are oral communicators. They pass on their family and community values and history orally – through stories.

Bible stories allow us to communicate the gospel in the same manner that the people we are ministering to pass on their own cultural history and values. Oral Bible stories in people’s mother tongue, their heart language, are a very effective way to communicate the gospel to any people group.

This 4-week Telling His Story Project will prepare 40 stories in the Chewa language (spoken in eastern Zambia and most of Malawi). Pastor Solomon, in Kapiri Mposhi, Zambia, and his team have already prepared stories in Bemba and Lenje languages; these stories are being used very effectively in home Bible story discussion groups in the area around Kapiri.

Pastor Solomon and his trainers will train 6 new trainers (local pastors) and 30 Chewa-speaking Christians to use the stories to reach their own people with the gospel. Bible stories will be used for evangelism and starting new churches, and also for discipling new Christians, and for training new church leaders.
