$200 helps provide hot meals, shelter, and ministry to at-risk street children for one month.

$28,000 will provide 12 children three hot meals per day for a year

Your generous gift helps fund this rehabilitation “shelter home” that serves as a transition house for street children. The children are given time and space to heal before either being reunited with their families or placed into “foster homes” of families within the Un Jour Nouveau church community.

More about The Hope Center – Un Jour Nouveau

Centre Tumaini (Hope Center) is located in Goma, Democratic Republic of Congo. This project is a partnership with missionaries from multiple countries and organizations and the local national church partner, Un Jour Nouveau.

Goma is a city that has been at the center of wars for decades. Unrest and poverty have impacted families in this area. Many children get separated from their families when fleeing fighting, others have been abandoned, and many others run away from home, thinking they can find a better life in the city.

At the Hope Center, vulnerable children that have found themselves living on the streets can find shelter and interventions in their lives, building resilience and capacity with the long-term goal of reuniting them with their families or with host families.

At the Hope Center, children are able to be supported in educational and vocational training, spiritual guidance, individual and group counseling, as well as participating in different forms of art and sports therapies throughout a one-year program. After reunification, they continue to receive support in the form of education, spiritual guidance and counseling, and investments into family businesses.
