This project provides a replacement vehicle for us to use. Our current vehicle has many issues and has cost over $20,000 in repairs this past year. The bush is extremely hard on our transportation because of the terrain. We desire to purchase a Land Cruiser with a hard top to conduct our ministry to very important and remote places.

More about Camp Nasaru: A Place of Refuge

In Nairobi, Kenya, many children are born and raised in the slum. Often, after they finish school or drop out, they marry and start families. Some are drawn to lives of crime or prostitution and die young without the knowledge of Him who loves them and gave His life for them. It is critical to engage these children while they are young and provide opportunities to learn about the hope that Jesus Christ gives.

Camp Nasaru, Hope Anew's children's camp, is a place of refuge, providing a holistic Christian camp experience for children from the city slums. The camp provides a pleasant natural environment where there is beauty and order, allowing children to exchange the chaos, noise, smells, muck, and garbage in the slum, for the beauty of God’s creation and the peace of His presence. It is a place where children can meet Jesus, the only one who can give their lives true meaning for eternity.

The camp will also reach out to the Masai people, a warrior tribe living in the area. The Masai have indicated that they would like to learn basic farming methods because their current way of life is not sustainable due to land shrinkage as more of their tribesman sell land to developers.

This camp will allow Kenyan city kids to hear the good news of Jesus Christ. The lives of many children will be impacted and transformed through the power of the gospel.
